This is a super clean Philadelphia International Records White Label Promo copy. I think the funky '70s Don Covay LPs are pure fun (Overtime Man being my favorite), even if they don't get the acclaim of his '60s work. You rarely seen clean copies like this out in the wild, my guess is these records didn't sell well enough to press in big numbers, then people in the know snapped these up over the years and kept 'em. The sound is good, full-bodied and solid. The vinyl is mostly quiet with light surface noise behind the music.
Cover: VG+ (DJ timing strip)
Play notes: Sounds good and plays mostly quiet, light surface noise behind the music at times.
We prefer to overdeliver and therefore grade conservatively. Our scale runs Near Mint (NM), Excellent (EX), Very Good Plus (VG+), Very Good (VG), Good Plus (G+), Good (G).
