This is an early British DJM copy with great sound and relatively quiet vinyl. This is the black vinyl version, the translucent red pressings tend to be noisier. I've struggled with tough surfaces on this album for years, so it's nice to hear one that plays without real issues. There are eight light ticks early in Tower Of Babel but overall this is definitely one of the quieter UK copies of maybe the last dozen I've played. This one comes complete with both the LYRICS and SCRAPS booklets. By the way, Better Off Dead on side two is one of my favorite Elton songs, and if you haven't played it lately you should remedy that. I just love the way they recorded the drums.
5 stars Allmusic: "John crafts supple, elastic, versatile pop and Taupin's inscrutable wordplay is evocative, even moving."

Cover: VG+ (solid with light corner wear and small price tag residue)
Play notes: Sounds very good, plays relatively quiet, 8 light ticks during Tower Of Babel
