This is a British Apple pressing from the '70s with some of my preferred stamper numbers for this album and excellent sound throughout. I've taken part in well over 50 large-scale shootouts for this album over the years and I know the sonic hallmarks of the different pressings intimately. This copy sounds solid, full-bodied, punchy, smooth, and full of energy. Having the benefit of LOTS of experience on my side, I know this is an exceptional copy. Whoever decides to make a move for it will know the same very quickly after it hits their table.
5 stars Allmusic: "What makes Abbey Road transcendent is how the album is so much greater than the sum of its parts. While a single song or segment can be dazzling, having a succession of marvelous, occasionally intertwined moments is not only a marvel but indeed a summation of everything that made The Beatles great."
Vinyl: VG+ (clean with some faint hairlines)
Cover: EX (gorgeous)
Play notes: Sounds incredible and plays mostly quietly, some light surface noise behind the music at times
