This is a domestic Columbia White Label Promo pressing. The sound is excellent -- rich, warm, full-bodied and natural. There aren't the usual stampers I associate with the best sound for this album, but I was still very impressed and would happily pick up another copy with the same dead wax info. There is light to moderate surface noise at times, nothing that overwhelms the music or ruins the experience but it's certainly present at times. I'm fairly sensitive to this stuff and I still found this copy enjoyable, but as a huge Blood On The Tracks fan a bit of background noise doesn't ruin the thrill of a great sounding pressing for me.
Vinyl: VG+ (clean, some faint hairlines visible under hard light)
Cover: VG+ (promo cut corner, light wear to other corners)
Play notes: Sounds excellent, plays with light to moderate surface noise
