This is an exceptionally nice 1971 original on Curtom pressed at Sonic Recordings (SON in the dead wax on both sides). I've had good luck with this version in the past in this copy is no exception, it sounds wonderful from start to finish with excellent presence and clarity that set it apart from other pressings I've played. The vinyl plays nice and quietly, which I'm usually not expecting on these old Curtis records. The cover is is excellent shape as well with some only a couple of minor corner bumps and the perforation on the fold-out calendar still about 40% attached -- something I very rarely see these days. I love this guy so much that I'm tempted to hoard every nice pressing I find in case something happens to my own ref copies, but that's a silly way to be and I should really let someone else enjoy this one.
Vinyl: VG+ (very clean, only some faint superficial scuffs keep it from rating higher)
Cover: VG+ (very strong)
Play notes: Plays unusually quietly and sounds great!
We prefer to overdeliver and therefore grade conservatively. Our scale runs Near Mint (NM), Excellent (EX), Very Good Plus (VG+), Very Good (VG), Good Plus (G+), Good (G).
