This is a domestic RCA promo pressing with a DEMONSTRATION NOT FOR SALE stamp on the front. I dig out my copy of Lodger more than most Bowie albums some day because I think these songs are great and they haven't been played to death like most of his catalog. African Night Flight, Fantastic Voyage, DJ, Look Back In Anger, Boys Keep Swinging? YES PLEASE.
This copy has a STERLING stamp on the A side but not on the B side, and the cover has a small RE on it but no bar code so I'm guessing this is an early reissue. Lodger's never been one of the best sounding Bowie recordings, but this copy does a solid job throughout -- lively, rich, and smooth. I'd imagine there's a better sounding copy out there but for most people this one will do the trick just fine. The vinyl plays quietly.
Vinyl: VG+ (minor edge wobble, tracks fine)
Cover: VG+ (promo stamp, light wear)
Play notes: A solid copy that plays quietly
We prefer to overdeliver and therefore grade conservatively. Our scale runs Near Mint (NM), Excellent (EX), Very Good Plus (VG+), Very Good (VG), Good Plus (G+), Good (G).
