This is a British Original DJM pressing on the cool translucent dark red vinyl with a textured gatefold cover. This is a great album with strong material throughout including Rocket Man, Honky Cat, and Slave. In my experience the early UK pressings of this album are the only game in town if you're looking for top sound and this one is truly excellent. The sound is incredibly big, rich, and warm with real immediacy to the vocals. It's really tough to find copies that play quietly -- most I've brought in are too noisy for my taste -- but this one does a great job, with just a bit of light to moderate noise in spots. An incredible sounding recording that shows wonderfully on this pressing.
Vinyl: VG+ (light hairlines, plays well)
Cover: VG+ (strong)
Play notes: Excellent sounding copy, vinyl plays relatively well for this tough album but has light to moderate surface noise
We prefer to overdeliver and therefore grade conservatively. Our scale runs Near Mint (NM), Excellent (EX), Very Good Plus (VG+), Very Good (VG), Good Plus (G+), Good (G).
