This is a British Island Pink Rim pressing from 1972. The sound here is quite good -- rich, smooth, and full-bodied. I've don't extensive shootouts for this album between early US and UK pressings, and I have found excellent sounding copies of both. The best American copies tend to be a bit more dynamic and powerful, the ultimate Brit copies have an extra level of smoothness and warmth. This early Brit reissue gives you that smoothness while still delivering good power and dynamics. The vinyl plays with light background noise behind some of the quietest parts, but most of the time the music is solidly in front.
Vinyl: VG+ (light hairlines and scuffs, plays well)
Play notes: Rich, smooth sound, plays with light background noise at times
We prefer to overdeliver and therefore grade conservatively. Our scale runs Near Mint (NM), Excellent (EX), Very Good Plus (VG+), Very Good (VG), Good Plus (G+), Good (G).
