This is a Warner Bros. domestic original pressing (Capitol Jacksonville plant with JW stampers). It's in gorgeous condition and has the cool hype sticker (and old price tag) on the original shrink (tear across top but intact), plus the lyric inner sleeve. The UK originals can take the sound even further, but they are tough to find clean. This one still delivers quite nicely -- it's big and punchy, which is what I look for on this album. It's an all-time classic that's inspired so much of the music that followed it. 5 stars on Allmusic: "Subversive records of any ilk don't get any stronger, influential, or more exciting than this."
Vinyl: VG+ (very clean, some lightly hazy spots that do not affect play)
Cover: EX (gorgeous, light ringwear on the shrinkwrap, minor edgewear at opening)
Play notes: Plays quietly and sounds solid
We prefer to overdeliver and therefore grade conservatively. Our scale runs Near Mint (NM), Excellent (EX), Very Good Plus (VG+), Very Good (VG), Good Plus (G+), Good (G).
