This is a Blue Note original on the Liberty label with good sound and mostly quiet vinyl. It's a fun album from 1971 that features Green with the great Idris Muhammed on drums and Chuck Rainey on bass. The sound is clean, clear, and lively. The vinyl is mostly clean and quiet, but there is a light mark on side two that makes a tick or two, nothing major. There are a lot of Grant Green fans out there -- for good reason -- so it's not too easy to find clean copies of his stuff out in the wild.
Allmusic: "Simply put, he sounds fresh, and his playing here is the best it has been since 1965's His Majesty, King Funk... Grant Green never made a commercial pop-jazz album as appealing and satisfying as Visions."
Vinyl: VG+ (1 light mark that makes a tick or two)
Cover: VG (wear to spine and edges)
Play notes: Sounds good, plays mostly quietly
We prefer to overdeliver and therefore grade conservatively. Our scale runs Near Mint (NM), Excellent (EX), Very Good Plus (VG+), Very Good (VG), Good Plus (G+), Good (G).
