This is a wonderful sounding Embryo White Label Promo pressing (with a cool die-cut cover) of a strong Herbie Mann album (4 1/2 stars Allmusic: "a superb example of the fusion of jazz with '60s soul music"). The sound is clean and clear with excellent separation between the parts. There's a touch of surface noise in some spots, but overall the record plays pretty quietly. Great music throughout, including fun covers of Come Together and the Sonny Sharrock classic Blind Willie. The great Roy Ayers is here on vibes to kick things up even more.
Vinyl: VG+ (very clean)
