This is a Warner Bros. White Label Promo copy of Jerry Garcia's solo debut -- an album I'm absolutely crazy about -- with SUPERB sound. It's an absolute knockout and it was a thrill to play, this is one of those records that will blow you away. The sound is incredibly rich and full-bodied with amazing clarity and incredible weight to the bottom end. I have a ton of these on my shelf (who you calling "Deadhead"?) and this one took the music places that other copies couldn't compete with. It's also one of the quieter copies I've played, so many of them are full of surface noise. The album is full of songs that would become Grateful Dead classic: "Deal," "Sugaree," "Bird Song," "Loser," "The Wheel," and the beautiful "To Lay Me Down".
4 1/2 stars Allmusic: " Garcia is nothing short of a full-bodied artistic expression from one of rock & roll's most multi-faceted musicians."
Vinyl: EX (super clean0
Cover: VG (solid but a good amount of wear, these tend to be a bit rough)
Play notes: A stunning sounding record that plays mostly quiet (light noise at the very start of side two that goes away quickly)
