This is an Elektra Red Label original from 1969 pressed at Pitman with Robert Ludwig's initials in the dead wax. Four Sail never seems to get the respect of the three Love albums that preceded it, but it's full of great music and I've heard more people coming around to its charms in recent years. The sound is big and lively as you might expect from the "RL" mastering, the vinyl plays quietly throughout. 4 stars Allmusic: "The tracks are deep in feeling and performed with an emotional fervor that sometimes approaches anguish. It is like going into a dark coffeehouse late at night and finding an electrically charged performer delivering messages about things familiar to one and all."
Cover: VG+ (small bb-sized punch hole upper left)
Play notes: Good sound and quiet vinyl!
