Here's a GORGEOUS domestic Warner Bros. Original Pressing from the Terre Haute plant on the Two-Tone Label with 1B/1G stampers. When I run into these originals in store and they have a high price tag, I often pass because most of them -- even the cleaner ones -- turn out to be too noisy to enjoy or sell. I took a chance on this one and I'm so glad I did -- it's an absolute knockout and it plays pretty quietly throughout. The sound is big, rich, and warm with serious immediacy and lots of body. The second issues on the plain brown label can also be very good, but I think this one takes things to a different level. In a different time this copy would go directly to my personal shelf, but I'm really excited about getting truly exceptional pressings on to the site and out into the world right now, this one definitely qualifies.
5 stars on Allmusic with a ton of classic songs: "Down By The River," "Cinnamon Girl," "Cowgirl In The Sand," "The Losing End," and more!
Vinyl: VG+ (clean with a couple of faint hairlines)
Cover: VG+ (solid, small sticker shadow upper left)
Play notes: A very strong copy on mostly quiet vinyl (scattered light ticks but nothing repeating or constant)
We prefer to overdeliver and therefore grade conservatively. Our scale runs Near Mint (NM), Excellent (EX), Very Good Plus (VG+), Very Good (VG), Good Plus (G+), Good (G).
