This is a 1968 Stax original pressing of a soul classic with good sound and pretty quiet vinyl -- most copies I find have substantially more surface noise. I'm always on the hunt for Otis originals and I can promise you it's never an easy find. The sound is rich, smooth and natural. It's a great copy of an album that puts Redding's talents on full display and a wonderful way to appreciate one of the great voices of the last century.
5 stars Allmusic: "What could have been a cash-in effort or a grim memorial album instead became a vivid, exciting presentation of some key aspects of the talent that was lost when Redding died... this is an impossible record not to love."
Vinyl: VG+ (clean, light wear, name stamped on labels)
Cover: VG+ (strong, light wear on corners and edges)
Play notes: A solid copy that sounds good and plays mostly quietly (lightly ticky in a few spots, 3 ticks early into "I'm Coming Home")
