This is a very strong Original British Apple pressing complete with the custom inner sleeve and the fold-out poster. The sound here is wonderful -- full-bodied, rich, punchy down low. The transparency and clarity are superb, and it should be a step up over most copies out there. I think it's one of the best sets of songs on any of the Beatles' solo albums. I mean, the title track, "Jet," "Mrs. Vanderbilt," "Let Me Roll It," just on side one? That's a stacked deck. Incidentally, my wife and I went to see Paul a few years back and he was still amazing, but we got a drink thrown on us for refusing to sit down during "Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five". Such troublemakers!
4 1/2 stars Allmusic: "McCartney's penchant for sophisticated, nuanced arrangements and irrepressibly catchy melodic hooks is up to the caliber he displayed in The Beatles, far surpassing the first two Wings releases."
Vinyl: EX (very clean)
Cover: VG+ (light ringwear, minor creases)
Play notes: Incredible sound and quiet vinyl, only minimal surface noise
