This is a super clean original original promo pressing of Paul Simon's classic self-titled album from 1971, complete with lyric inner sleeve. This is by far my favorite Paul Simon solo album and I love the way the recording can sound on a strong copy like this. Like any album that sold in the kind of numbers this one did, there's a pretty wide range in how pressings can sound, so it's worth going to a bit of trouble to make sure you have one that performs well. And this one certainly does -- it's richer and smoother than most copies with excellent transparency and clarity.
5 stars on Allmusic: "Signaled that Simon was a versatile songwriter as well as an expressive singer with a much broader range of musical interests than he had previously demonstrated"
Vinyl: EX (super clean)
Cover: VG+ (strong, promo stamp on back)
Play notes: A very clean copy that sounds good and plays quietly. 3 pops as Duncan fades out.
