This is an early UK Harvest Green Label reissue of my favorite Floyd album for both sound and music. I’ve played a ton of copies over the years and this is my favorite version, copies with these stamper numbers tend to blow the other ones out of the water. And this one is no exception — it’s an absolute knockout with massive, incredibly rich sound. Surface noise can be a big issue with these old UK pressings but I’m pleased to report that this one plays dramatically quieter than most I find. The premium price I’m asking for this one reflects the hard work of finding a copy that plays so well and sounds so amazing, but if you love this album like I do I’m guessing you’ll agree it’s worth every penny about 90 seconds into “One Of These Days”. Prepare to blast off!
4 1/2 stars Allmusic: "Meddle is one of their greatest excursions into little details, pointing the way to the measured brilliance of Dark Side Of The Moon."
Cover: VG+ (moderate wear on edges)
Play notes: Mostly quiet, light surface noise behind some quieter passages in Echoes. A very tough album to find any quieter and the sound is great!
