This is a UK Island Pink Rim pressing from the early '70s. It's an exceptionally good recording with Andy Johns (Led Zep II) engineering and Paul Samwell-Smith (Tea For The Tillerman) producing. If you've spend any time in front of a serious stereo with good pressings of those classics, you may have an idea about the sonic potential of this album. This copy may not be the ultimate -- I'd imagine there are Pink Label Originals out there that beat it -- but it does a really great job and should be a total blast on any thought out system. Keith Relf of The Yardbirds leads this band, but they sure don't sound like Jimmy Page's old group -- this is a much more proggy and eloquent affair. The sound is clean and powerful and the vinyl plays quietly throughout.
