This is a beautiful Tamla White Label Promo copy with absolutely amazing sound. I found out a while ago that this album can punch way out of its class on the best copies, and what's in the grooves here will certainly serve to back me up. The sound is incredibly rich, warm, and smooth. It's also airy, open, and transparent in a way that lets all the instruments have their own space. On top of that, the vinyl is super quiet. In fact, I would call it one of the quieter Tamla pressings of ANY album I've played in the last dozen years -- for whatever reason, I've had lots of surface noise struggles with their vinyl but thankfully that's not the case here.
Features the classic "Tears Of A Clown". 4 1/2 stars Allmusic: "One of their better latter-period albums."
Cover: VG+ (really nice, a tiny corner ding and a promo stamp on back)
Play notes: Absolutely incredible sound and quiet vinyl
