This is an Original Brothers Records pressing in wonderful condition, probably the cleanest copy I've ever seen. Some people love the album and some people hate it, I personally am here for all the weirdness. The sound of the recording itself is all over the place and no copy out there is going to blow anyone away from start to finish, but the good news is that some of the tracks sound wonderful. The better news is that one of them is Good Vibrations. This is definitely a good sounding copy relative to others I've heard, many are just too murky and dull to sound engaging.
4 stars Allmusic: "The standouts were two then-recent hit singles in which Brian Wilson's ambitions were still intact: the inscrutable mini-opera 'Heroes and Villains,' and the number one hit 'Good Vibrations,' one of the few occasions where the group managed to be recklessly experimental and massively commercial at the same time."
Vinyl: EX (gorgeous)
Cover: VG+ (tiniest pinhole bottom right, light wear on spine)
Play notes: Sounds about as good as it ever will, plays quietly
