This is a wonderful sounding '70s British Parlophone LP with excellent sound. I've mentioned this before on the site but it bears repeating: The top Beatles pressings from this era cut by Harry T. Moss (like this one) boast some of the best Beatles sound I've heard, and that comes from a guy who has literally played thousands of them across the band's catalog. Thousands of them, no joke. This copy is a very strong one, with smoother and fuller sound than I hear on most. I've heard people say before that they wish the early Beatles albums were recorded better, and I understand where they are coming from, but I personally think the recordings are great and it's the typical pressing that could use improvement. Many are gritty and crude sounding, so it's not your fault if your copy has left you wanting more. This one does a much better job. Be sure to check out the sound of the hand percussion on You're Gonna Lose That Girl, which sounds particularly good here. 5 stars on Allmusic, features "Yesterday," "Ticket To Ride," "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away," and so much more.

Vinyl: VG+ (super clean, some light concentric circles in the dead was and inner grooves that do not affect play)
Cover: EX (gorgeous)
Play notes: Great sound, plays quietly with minimal surface noise
