This is an original British Deram pressing with the bound-in lyric booklet. I've played a ton of Moodies records over the years and many of them have the same unfortunate tendency to be a bit murky sounding. This one sounds wonderful, with all of the richness and fullness I hope for but a clear and open quality that's always a pleasant surprise and makes the music work so much better. The vinyl plays mostly quietly, it looks like there's something pressed into the vinyl that makes a few light ticks during "Lovely To See You" but it's really a pretty small issue.
4 1/2 stars Allmusic: "A surprisingly hard-rocking album considering the amount of overdubbing that went into perfecting the songs, including cellos, wind and reed instruments, and lots of vocal layers."
