This is a rare US Original Promo pressing of this classic Stones double album with excellent sound and quiet vinyl. It comes complete with the two sturdy picture sleeves and the twelve postcards still perforated and in plastic. It's in gorgeous condition all around and has just the kind of sound I look for on this album -- real and raw. I can't recall ever seeing another promo copy and the regular copies I find are rarely in such nice shape. This one is wonderful and well suited for both audiophiles and collectors. It's one of my favorite albums and I'd love to keep it, but I'm also happy if it goes to a good home. Anyone?
5 stars Allmusic: " Few other albums, let alone double albums, have been so rich and masterful as Exile On Main St., and it stands not only as one of the Stones' best records, but sets a remarkably high standard for all of hard rock."
Vinyl: EX (side four is VG due to a small mark that makes some light ticks during Shine A Light, otherwise clean and quiet)
Cover: VG+ (light general wear, tiny tear at bottom of spine)
Play notes: Sounds excellent and plays quietly, the ticks on Shine A Light fade to the background after the intro
We prefer to overdeliver and therefore grade conservatively. Our scale runs Near Mint (NM), Excellent (EX), Very Good Plus (VG+), Very Good (VG), Good Plus (G+), Good (G).
