This is a super clean domestic Decca Mono Original. I don't think I've ever seen a cleaner copy. The sound is good but I imagine there's a better version out there if you have the time and money to really give chase. Still, this is a great copy for anyone who wants to hear this music in the original mono mix. Most of the versions of this album I've played are pretty rough sonically, this one is at least enjoyable and sounds real, not phony.
5 stars AllMusic: "An explosive debut, and the hardest mod pop recorded by anyone. At the time of its release, it also had the most ferociously powerful guitars and drums yet captured on a rock record."
Vinyl: EX (super clean)
Cover: (cut corner bottom right, 1" seam split upper right)
Play notes: Sounds correct and plays with just a touch of light surface noise
We prefer to overdeliver and therefore grade conservatively. Our scale runs Near Mint (NM), Excellent (EX), Very Good Plus (VG+), Very Good (VG), Good Plus (G+), Good (G).
