This is a wonderful sounding domestic Elektra Gold Label original pressing with unusually quiet vinyl -- I don't think I've ever heard another one that played so well. I just loved the sound of this copy -- it's lush and warm with real separation, letting everything occur in its own natural space. Both the top end and the bottom sound great here, play Strange Street Affair Under Blue to see how your system is handling serious bass! This one was recorded and produced by the same team behind the Doors debut and it shows -- you'll hear the musical and sonic hallmarks of that classic in here, even if they are very different albums.
4 1/2 stars Allmusic: "The pretty, almost precious songs are complemented by appropriately baroque, psychedelic-tinged production. If there was a record that exemplified the '60s Elektra folk-rock sound, this may have been I"
Vinyl: VG+ (super clean, very faint wear)
Cover: VG+ (light wear, small tearing on back - see pic)
Play notes: Sounds amazing and plays very quietly.
