This is a gorgeous Japanese pressing complete with the OBI strip. I picked up a handful of Japanese records at a recent pop-up here in LA, and this one was so much fun I had to source a few more copies straight from Japan so I could spread the good word. The sound is super clean and punchy, exactly what you'd hope for on an album full of killer bass playing. A good friend of mine made a comment about records like this making up "a never ending stream of alternate Steely Dan heaters" and honestly I couldn't tell it any better than that. It's fun, it's funky, it's a bit ridiculous, and I'm completely here for it. There's an over-the-top cover of I Shot The Sheriff that I'm dying to drop in a DJ set and I may not sell you this one if you're in L.A. with similar intentions (I kid). If you like shreddy fusion, Casio keyboard demos, goofy funk and/or big ol' poppin' bass lines you're going to find a lot to like here.
Play notes: Great sound and quiet vinyl
